What is CO2e?  CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) is a way to compare the warming impact of different greenhouse gases on a single scale. Methane, for example, traps about 25× more heat than carbon dioxide over 100 years — so 1 lb of methane = 25 lbs of CO2e. Using CO2e lets us add up plastic manufacturing, landfill methane, and treatment-plant emissions in one number.
Chart 1 — Manufacturing CO2e (lbs) — bags grow every year; the Poddy is a one-time fixed cost
Chart 2 — Waste decomposition CO2e (lbs) — landfill methane vs. biogenic WWTP treatment (all scenarios)
Chart 3 — Total CO2e combined (lbs)
Plastic waste to landfill (lbs) — no pickup excluded (no plastic used)
Environmental harm score — higher = more damage (0–30 scale)
Pathogen load reaching waterways (trillion fecal coliform organisms)
Waste destination
Total cost over period — no pickup excluded (no product purchased)
Cost per walk — lower is better
Poddy adoption impact vs. new single-use bags
